Still (Urban) Life
Still (Urban) Life explores out-of-place moments within the contemporary cityscape, documenting objects that have slipped from their intended contexts — either a sofa swallowed by weeds or an obsolete food processor turned planter. Each scene captures a pause in the urban rhythm, where the boundaries between the artificial and the natural begin to blur.
Through these accidental compositions, the project reimagines the city as a living still life — a place where forgotten and neglected objects coexist in unintended harmony. The photographs invite reflection on consumption: what remains when function fades, and how new forms of beauty emerge in the aftermath of use.
The ongoing series situates itself between observation and interpretation, asking us to look again at what the city discards, and to find stillness within its restless sprawl.
